“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Zoe: away at camp this week & missing her so terribly much…
Ezra: hiding his grin behind the brim…
Zion: life of the party…
Axel: he lost it!!…
Ottilie: guarding the kettle corn from the farmers market…

only a few weeks left until we start school here. so, naturally we are thinking of all the things we want to do before our “summer” is over and we are in the daily routine of school. we spent some time at the farmers market with friends this weekend, had a super fun surprise party for one of our best friends, and on sunday we took zoe & maria to youth camp for the week. the camp was beautiful and it brought back memories of the summer camps andy & i went to in high school.

on another note, i’m still not quite used to this tennessee weather.  last week we had so much rain, off and on, and it feels like we are in fall with summer temperatures.  i like it though, and the heat is not bothering to me, really at all. but, when the sky is dark and the leaves are rustling it makes me anxious for fall – my most favorite time of year – and baking pumpkin bread and filling the house with its most delicious smell. for now, we are enjoying the summer goodness and loving each day we have together.
