our kids have nine cousins, all of whom live in california. throughout the past thirteen years we have lived far from them, then closer to them, and now the furthest we’ve been… and we miss being able to see them!  so, when andy’s mom said she was going to bring drieu, our niece (who also turned thirteen a couple months before zoe), to nashville as part of a now we are teenagers cousin trip, we were elated!

over the weekend, i took the camera with me to the pedestrian bridge on the nashville riverfront.  the kids all had fun running along the bridge and playing at the park below. ottilie tried to slide down the artificial grass moving ever so slowly. it was like watching a slow motion movie in slow motion! we laughed pretty hard at her attempts to s-l-i-d-e ! the kids all had a ball and the remainder of our cousin weekend was filled with time downtown, the grand ole opry at the ryman, shopping, eating, baking, giggling, late night chit-chatting, and more. we loved having our loved ones from cali here experience beautiful nashville with us.

looks so very n.w. to me, funny, eh? Do u find any similarities between there and Seattle area? We are experiencing the “Crazy Big Stuff” prophesied 2 years (?) ago. I’ve started hanging out down below at my inlaws- hence I am on fb right now. Getting ready for Thanksgiving is BIG over here, in the land of the gourmet gurus…heheheheh. Happy Turkey Day to you and your fam. I went ahead and befriended Zoe in case I get time to check out regularly….could happen. 🙂
