last week, when our sweet friend was with us from back home, we took her to one of our favorite little country spots called leiper’s fork. it’s about a thirty minute drive southwest and come spring and fall, the drive out there is one of my favorite’s. we sat in the rockers, around a fire pit and enjoyed the slowness of our afternoon.
a few of the kids grabbed the camera and took some pictures of each other, which always end up on this blog – those budding photographers! ezra is typically the one to jump in front of the camera when someone else is being photographed… he actually thinks it’s hilarious and will do so at any given chance. i love his sense of humor.
these two. she adores him like no other. my favorite is watching her run to him after she’s been in her class at church and yelling “daaaaddyyy!” it makes my heart explode. every. single. time.
this hill is one of the best for rolling, tumbling, running down and then back up again. and while we did all the leg work to bring ottie up the hill time after time…she leisurely enjoyed the back rides… notice her hands!!
the day of being in the sunshine and letting the rays soak into our skin was pure bliss. one of my favorite things about being a mom is watching our kids and their carefree spirits, wandering around, no agenda, just playing hard and being together. we loved taking emily to some favorite spots around here. i’m pretty sure our love for this city wore off on her a bit. hoping she comes back sooner than later for more visits!2 Comments
